While I like the idea of hosting my own stuff, the practical reality is that it is a pain in the ass when problems like this occur.
So sad but true... Love this post as I can agree with it all especially the quote above.😆

This is great and I can 100% confirm the accuracy of the "Tales" as I have too gone though them.

So many good nuggets and thoughts in this post.

This is a very interesting simple idea to start a daily log, nothing fancy just 3 thoughts. Also, keeping it short.

If you’ve never had to shovel shit, not only do you lack empathy for those who do, but you also tend to create more shit for others to shovel.
This statement couldn't be more accurate.
Such an interesting story as I do think these sort of gatherings have been less over the years. However, makes me think if they can do it on a street why don’t more of us do it out in the suburbs or houses with yards.
> This looks like it could be something to help get my Links from Shaarli posted if I would want to share them on Micro.blog.
This is too bad to hear. I am not an Instagram user but it is a service my wife enjoys using and posting stuff to so I like how DayOne used to be able to suck all that into a Journal so everything was in one place. Not sure what I will do now as I know s
Just caught this news today and sad to hear. For me I will remember his role in Tombstone as I watched that movie so many times back in college and beyond.
> Logically, I understand. Emotionally, I haven’t gotten there yet.
This is a great read and has me thinking I should just log out, unsubscribe, and maybe also think about marking everything unread every week.
This is a great review on the Meta Ray bans and it really does seem like the things where I would want a product like this for it would actually work well.
However, I think I need @jarrod to stop talking about them so I don't end up buying them. 😆
This is such a fascinating story but also sad to hear as well. I am sure a lot of us that have been in the blogging world for a while have had someone kind of go offline for one reason or another and wondered. I know I have been curious about some.
> Such storytelling doesn’t have to be perfect. I can simply tell my story without much thought to the words I use or the format I come up with.
I can relate to this idea and maybe taking it a little further, I blog to just put thoughts out there for

It is really too bad they are closing down the service and not starting to just charge for the product. I found it very useful when I have used it over the past year. It is strange how this ar

> Most of the pages are just a parade of new and expensive equipment, with no insight into why or how they appeared in the person's life.
I have read a lot of what I use pages and I find this one very interesting adding the "why" behind each item.
> Embracing whimsy takes a certain amount of intentionality to give yourself the mental space and the free time to alter course at a moment’s notice.
This article hit home today after being gone all last week and having a relatively busy weekend too.
This is great and RSS is great too 😃
> I must force myself to remember to regularly look at what I already might have to meet my needs.
This is a great post and reminder to myself too. I know @patrickrhone is talking about clothing but this probably cuts at a lot of things too. *Now I n

> Monday’s should be your best day of the week. You have two days to prepare for it.
I actually think the article is interesting and made me think. Also, I laughed at first the quote above but it is an interesting take.
If you ever wish you could have one service that could take a feed and post it to another site this is the place to check out. Great work @robb!
> Blogging is an individual and, I would say, selfish act — you do it because it is what you want to do for you.
I think this sounds right on. I put things out there of which I am not sure anyone wants but I do it to document stuff for me and if it r
So proud of my neice in this game! Also, I just love that the news article utalized her last name well for the article title…. Well played you GOTT it! 😏
> No show notes? You're out, you're barely even a podcast. Dynamic ad insertion? Definitely get fucked.
Well said @Robb and I couldn’t agree more with him. I never thought much of show notes till a couple years ago but now I think they are a must whe
