I think this is a very interesting take on the WordPress world right now by Matt how it does seem like competing priorities and I wonder if that is some of the reason why I left WordPress some time back. I just wanted something simpler to use and update. I didn't need something that created lots of duplicate images in the background and was what seemed to me a very process intesive system. I just wanted a place to put thoughts and photos with out worrying about everything else. That is probably what led me to Micro.blog after Wordpress and then eventually I turned to Weblog as I still just wanted an easier way to keep all of my own stuff in my own system (Obsidian).

Maybe you’ve thought about launching a blog. Maybe you’ve felt a bit overwhelmed when looking at other blogs.

Don’t be. We all start with an empty home. Then we add a little paint here, hang a picture there, and decorate it with things we like.

A blog becomes a home, that’s the beauty of it, and I’m looking forward to visiting yours.
